Intro/Info
Why is this on my list.

Der Teufelstritt or the devil’s footprint is something I wanted to see for a while the fact you can see theoretically the place at which the Devil stomped on the ground is very interesting. This is actually the Wikipedia article on this church

The master builder Jörg Ganghofer had made a pact with the devil to help him build the church. In exchange for his help, the devil would receive the soul of the first person to enter the church. When the church was finished and people were streaming into the church, the devil wanted to collect his reward. When he went to the master builder, the master builder said that the devil’s work was bad because he had forgotten the windows in the church. And indeed: when he took a look inside the church, there was not a single window in the entire church. The devil stomped hard in anger and left the church, snorting with rage. The devil’s footsteps can still be seen at this spot today, and the devil can still be heard as wind around the church.
