Job experience

This experience of me working on a farm with such long hours has given me a lot of chances to grow myself. I’ve learned a lot of new skills in  the time that I’ve worked here including the importance of working together, hard work and to never give up.

-Worked alone cooking for upwards of 20 guests in off grid resort

-Continue to keep excellent cleanliness and organization within the kitchen

-Worked making sure all things are prepped to specific standards as well as works making sure to utilize the FIFO system

-Baked fresh bread Rolls and focaccia for menu items

-worked to prepare and cook staff meals two times a day making sure it is healthy and delicious

-worked to clean and maintain the properly including using a whippersnapper and chopping wood as well as maintaining the dock to the lake

-Took the company truck and picked up groceries alcohol orders whenever needed

I sadly do not leave in the best of terms at this position. I tried my best to, I give a months notice and she didn’t want me to quit so she gave me two days to leave. Being in the most North Western community in Canada. It was a real shock I Loved working there. I just wanted to move on and experience new things within the Yukon.

But I learned so much being so far away from the city. It took 5 1/2 hours one way to get to White Horse.  Following the speed limit. You had to do a lot of planning for the restaurant and cooking for the kids.

-Maintained and cleaned a port of entry daily doing deep cleaning and daily wipes for Covid safety

-Drove to and from the dump to drop off garbage from our property

-Helped maintain and watch the store included in maintenance of the furnace deep cleaning painting filling in holes in the wall.

-Baked fresh bread cinnamon rolls and cheese rolls to be sold in the store

-Prepared lunch is five days a week for the school from scratch

-Worked taking orders from customer as well as serving them alcoholic drinks checking their ID and cooking them food.

-Worked shovelling snow off the property
by hand as well as chipping away at ice and making sure the property is safe to walk on

About Me

I can remember the first time I tried coffee. I was four years old and my dad gave me a sip of his Tim Hortons ever since then I’ve been interested in the history science and the creation of quality coffee. I have taught myself everything from the history to the science of coffee and I would like to be one of the worlds best barista and coffee roasters. If you were interested in having someone work for you that truly wants to learn about coffee and wants to be a good barista. I would love to work for you
