Why is this on my list.

359.Taiwan–Go to Longshan temple.

One of the most famous and widely known temples in Taiwan, Lungshan is one of the ones I wanted to go to because I’ve always had a fascination and reverence for the beauty of temples, mosques and churches.

The story.
It’s not many times you can go to anything 300 years old but that’s where I was when I went to the temple in Taiwan, it has survived hundreds and hundreds of visitors, a bombing raid and countless stories. It’s a place full of beauty, arts and amazing architecture.
It’s a photographers dream and a beautiful religious relic, I’m very lucky that I got the chance to go there! I remember it was me and a cool eastern European gentleman wandering around through a few fruit and vegetable markets looking for a coffee, which we found, thankfully.
We eventually made it to the temple, though! As we walked in I was surrounded by giant lanterns and beautiful architecture, and I could see that many people from all over the world were going through.
I was lucky enough to just wander through and have a beautiful walk. What I loved the most was the beautiful elderly people just praying. After a couple hours of wandering around taking hundreds of photos I decided it was about time to leave, and as we walked out I quickly snapped a photo of a gentleman sitting down against the wall – probably one of the most favourite photos I’ve ever taken in my life.
It’s a beautiful place and I encourage anybody who gets the chance to go there for a couple hours just to experience the true beauty of that temple.
