Intro
Why is this on my list.

647.✓UK–See the Traffic Light Tree.

I wanted this on my bucket list is very simple I absolutely love public art, as I’ve said many times in this traffic light tree reminds me of a lamp post tree in Calgary. It’s a really interesting art piece and I hope to see it during the night but if I can’t I’m still happy I Got to see it in the day.

The story.
Traffic light tree Nestled between a DLR station and Billingsgate fish market is the traffic light tree – an obscure and random art piece sitting in the middle of nowhere London…
OK it’s not the middle of nowhere London but it definitely is out in the boonies.
You gotta love the fact that there’s so much random art spread throughout London it’s a beautiful city even though I feel like I need to take out six mortgages and sell my left kidney just to be able to have a coffee at Soho,
but hey what can you do.
I’m not gonna lie, I love the idea of the traffic light tree; the artist is French sculptor Pierre Vivant who is a pretty cool cat and looking at a couple of his other art pieces it seems as if he works on the basis of road symbols and traffic lights. At least that’s all I could find but it is still very interesting.
I will now don on my art hat and talk about the meaning of this art piece..
Hum Hum Hum Sips wine…
I have no idea what it means.
But I feel as if it is a good representation of the hustle and bustle of a large city like London, Beijing or Paris. Surrounding us are all these lights and all the action of a city, as you watch there traffic lights, emergency service lights, and shopfront lights, all blinking on and off and creating a beautiful star-like quality to the landscape, and I think that is beautiful.
Well that was fun!
I’m not really good at this art dissertation thing but I would like to learn more about art history and the pieces of art that we see throughout our day-to-day life.
Every city has beautiful art whether it’s the people, graffiti or commission artworks. In my city of Calgary there’s a beautiful giant head in front of the boat building and I’ve always loved looking at it, I think it’s a really interesting representation of life and the people surrounding us, but I might also be pulling those thoughts out of my ass.
I don’t really know but either way but I’m still quite happy. I hope you guys enjoy this short post and I’ll talk to you soon, I love you all and I’ll see you in the next post.
