659.✓UK–The Imperial War Museum London

No war may not be sunshine and rainbows but it is important to understand.go to the imperial war Museum of London is a wonderful example of seeing some of the worst and some of the most interesting part of human history the reason.

I put this on my bucket list is the reason why I put a lot of things on my bucket list understanding.

The story.

Know thy self, know thy enemy. A thousand battles, a thousand victories”. Sun Tzu

I found this one difficult to write about because I have mixed feelings about war and fighting. Deep down I have always wanted to be a soldier – I did army and air cadets for many years and I love war history, it’s one of my favourite ones to study but I also am very aware of the pain, suffering, disease and sadness war has caused.

It’s tough as it’s literally a double edge sword but I am very happy that I could cross it off with someone like Rachael who is such a kind, beautiful and intelligent woman, who throws random facts at me. I also appreciate seeing all of the old war memorial stuff as well as some of the newer articles, including a piece of the Twin Towers which hit me hard. It was interesting.

I bumped into a small group of children that were there for a field trip and I asked them if they remember when 9/11 happened and when they said no it really did make me realize how important it is for us to remember our history so we don’t repeat it. But I digress…

I’m very happy I got to go to this museum and we spent probably about three hours there. We had a nice little lunch too that Rachael made us. We sat and talked about war, life and everything in between and then we went on our way to enjoy the rest of the day. It’s very simple to find the Imperial war Museum and it’s one of those ones where I didn’t get lost.

All you have to do is get off at Elephant and Castle station and just follow the signs. I hope you all get a chance to see such an interesting museum. I love you all and I’ll see you on the next post.
