709.✓France–Room of the Eiffel tower
By Dane Garner and Edited by Rachel
Intro
Why is this on my list.

Can you imagine making love or having a fine glass of wine on top of the Eiffel tower and not having the wind cut you like a knife.

Well, there’s a tiny room wherein an ideal world you can sit down and read a book. That is exactly what was there on the top of the Eiffel Tower – a tiny room where dignitaries and scientists can sit down and chill. I can only imagine the stories that place has heard, if only the walls could talk.

The reason this is on my bucket list is simply because of the story behind it and the beauty.

The story.

You know those times when you’re walking down the street and a cool wind is biting do you think how wonderful it would be to sit in a beautiful apartment with a view, or even better in a café on top of a mountain, drinking a mug of hot chocolate or whiskey…

Well, Gustave Eiffel, the famous architect of the Eiffel Tower must have thought that exact same thing as he plopped right on top of the tower a small apartment building.

As I and Rachael stared in through the small glass window we wished we could sit in there, sipping a nice hot cup of coffee and looking over the city of love. Sadly, we are stuck on the outside, shivering.

My mind zooms off into the past thinking about old scientists and men sitting down sharing a cup of brandy or scotch talking about the world, the oncoming war, or about random stuff and I think it’s quite beautiful.

I can only imagine that room quickly filling with cigar smoke or pipe tobacco, the beautiful sweet smell permeating everything.

So we quickly take a couple of quick photos, giggle and run off to the next thing on our bucket list.

I hope you guys enjoyed this quick little post and I hope you guys get to see some beautiful things. I love you all and I’ll see you next post
