80.✓Japan–Eat at the Ninja Akasaka.

For me love going to oddly themed restaurants and cafes. not only is it cool but the food is delish.

The story.

Okay, I know what you’re thinking.

A themes restaurant is basically a black hole where there is nothing good about it…. not this time!!!

I think you’re the wrong at least for now.

Ninja Akasaka is not a black hole of despair where you will get lost in a land of shit food panted to look like hello-kitty. It is actually an amazing place with a good meal.

It all started with like most times me and my friend lost and running around in a city where we cannot speak the language. But this time we have a time limit so there is a sense that we got to go, go, go!!!

but that’s okay I am not worrying too much. Overall the times I have travelled I learned that worrying is not worth it. I know we will find where we are going. I am looking on google maps and asking a few random passersby where Ninja Akasaka is and google maps keep telling me that we pass it over and over again and people have no clue.  but then it hits me like a ton of bricks that it would be hidden.

LOL DO YOU GET IT NIJA THEY HIDE

so we pass one more time looking a little closer to all the doors and windows looking for anything that looks off and after just a few minis we find what looks like an industrial building one that we pass by 100 times a day. but the only difference is there is what looks like a beautiful fish carving on the side of the door.” this is it”. I say so my friend and I take a few pics and then knock on the door.

We are 2 mins late

After a min, a well-dressed woman opens the door and beckons us into the lobby of the restaurant.

AND HOLY FUCK WHAT DID WE GET ARE SELF IN TO.

It looks as if we are in a village there are small homes and even a  river cuting through the restaurant floor. I feel like I am in a 1950 Japanese ninja movie. As if a man will come out and want a sword fight. I can tell you I would lose in the worst way. He would turn me into a human shish kebab.

The woman asks us to follower her and she snakes us through the village where I can see people sitting and enjoying a good meal. The plating looks good better then I thought it would be. she sits us down in a small hut next to the river.  My bud and I look at one another and smile this place is so cool.  The host leaves us for one second I think shit what about ordering but I remember that we did that online when we booked.

so there we sit waiting and wondering if some crazy SOB will come out of the shadows.

After a few mins of waiting are the first course is here hand cut chips with cream chess. cut as throwing stars. “cute”. But when I try it I am surprised it is nice. we finish that in just a few mins.

Then there is a second course a Delicious handmade hand cuts from Chris and then he keeps going on and on delicious steaks amazing fresh cuts sushi and then in between the third and fourth quarters were sitting there and going to open the door it’s really confusing to look around and then we look up and there’s a guy standing on the roof it’s freaking crazy he jumps down does a couple cartridges mix of our students and leaves just that you left us is entered Like a puff of dust after that we could go and we start chatting about life for hopes and dreams what we love about Tokyo which happens to beeverything and then we get a final meal my friend does not eat meat so she gets a vegetarian meal and I myself to get a sushi platter for five or six different pieces of sushi to absolutely amazing I can tell they’re fresh the front freshness radiates of them just like the freshness and coolness of the morninb After Our Last course we sit down and enjoy the restaurant and we continue chatting there’s no big rush we order a coffee we enjoy it and just enjoy the relaxed nature of it eventually it’s time for us to go to bed sweetie get up paying and live that are missing Austra with a really cool souvenir and a really good story
