9.✓Australia–Go to the Haunted Bookshop.

Oooooooooo scary, ha.

There’s actually quite a few libraries and bookstores I want to go to all around the world. There’s currently two in Australia – the haunted bookstore in Sydney and Melbourne’s Goulds bookstore. I’ve always been a lover of books and probably forever will be.

The story.

It’s a beautiful day in Sydney…

Just kidding, ha. But it is an interesting day in Sydney like always, the clouds are everywhere and it’s raining, it’s a perfect time to cross something off my bucket list – go to the haunted bookstore.

Now I’ve always been a lover of bookstores and I love it when they have themes, whether it be mystical or erotic or whatever. This one is a horror book store specializing in tarot cards! I didn’t know what to expect except that it would probably be cheesy.

Well hot damn just like a Texas used car salesman come on down for the cheesiest time of your life.

I love walking up to it, I realize it’s going to be an entertaining time – there’s a door above it which says the haunted bookstore I open it up and I am instantly encased in black; it’s dark with just a few lights and some candles as I walk up staircase I see posters from old horror movies.

I already love it.

As I make my way up the stairs there’s creaking and the hallway opens up into a beautiful aged bookstore covered in cobwebs and horror paraphernalia. I start wandering around taking photos and seeing what there is. There’s alot of tarot cards, some old and some fun, some sexual but all of them interesting.

Eventually I make my way to the front table where a man and a beautiful woman in a black dress are chatting about conspiracy theories and horror and the state of books, I just love listening to their conversation and interject a few times with my own ideas… I eventually find out this is the owner.

He’s a cool guy, he tells me about the bookstore and how books are going out of fashion, I tell them that it’s not always like that and in Canada everybody loves books, or least of my group of friends do.

After a while we shake hands and he tells me he has to get back to work and I realized I’ve spent over two hours there! So I leave with the woman in the black dress, chatting with her and wishing her a wonderful day, we take a couple photos in front of the shop and then off I’m on to another wonderful experience.

I highly suggest you all check it out it’s an interesting and fun thing to do.

I love you all and I’ll see in the next post
