Intro
Why is this on my list.

Why is Eat Deep-fried Oreo on my bucket list… Fuck it, why not. I think you only live once and having just two of these puppies might just end your life there and then.

The story.

It’s late at night and I’m at a fair, the lights are shining bright like stars but sadly I can see no stars as the light pollution is really bad here in Myrtle Beach.

But I’m not thinking about that, I’m thinking mostly about trying some new things. It’s hot and humid and I’m standing in line. You may be asking what I’m waiting for…

Is it a mojito? Nope.

Is it a Bible? Nope.

It’s a deep fried Oreo! All the artery clogging goodness.

Me and my bud are standing there waiting patiently, eventually the drunk person in front of us stumbles away with his fried delicacy mumbling about something that we weren’t listening to. It’s our turn to stumble up to a very pretty lady who smiled at us and asked what we would like. I didn’t know at the time but I saw that they had fried Oreos so I decided to get that thinking to myself how funny that would be to actually get a deep-fried chocolate bar.

From there we waited a couple of minutes as I watched her dunk the Oreo into the dough and pop them into the bubbling cauldron of oil. I tried to watch them fry it but the steam misted the glass window. Eventually after a couple minutes she plucked them out of the hot oil, put some chocolate sauce and icing sugar on it and handed them to me and my friend. It was hot and I could feel the oil seeping through the paper plate.

I think to myself how that will be seeping through my pores in a couple of minutes. We get another one and with the last one I realised what happens when you eat 7000 calories in two minutes – you tend to get a stomach-ache. I spent the next couple of hours regretting every moment of it, and although when I look back now it was worth it, at that time I would’ve given my left leg for a new stomach.

That is the point of travelling – trying new things, getting out of your comfort zone, and experiencing diarrhoea that would actually measure on the Richter scale… But they were pretty cheap as they only cost a couple dollars and I highly suggest everybody tries it at least once; unless you have diabetes. I love you all and I hope you enjoy this quick little post, I’ll talk to you on the next one!
