Intro
Why is this on my list.

200.✓France–walk over Pont Neuf.

One of the most iconic of  all these bridges in Paris seen in paintings, movies, television and happily on this blog. I’m a fan of architecture so I might as well walk across it in person and cross it off.

The story.

The Pont Neuf is the oldest standing bridge across the river Seine in Paris, France. It stands by the western point of the Île de la Cité, the island in the middle of the river that was, between 250 and 225 BC, the birthplace of Paris, then known as Lutetia, and during the medieval period, the heart of the city. -wiki

Between 215 and 225 BC put it in perspective think about how old that is and think about how this random Canadian has walked across it.  You may be thinking why is this on my bucket list.

  1. The history
  2. The history
  3. The fucking history

It interesting experience I love all this kind of stuff I find it beautiful this Stonebridge has survived wars, families, drought, the Internet and Donald Trump and everything in between.

I just love it I always wonder who has walked across this old beauty where they famous people or infamous people. It’s just such an interesting experience especially when with some one you love Rachel. We walked it in the dead of night there’s nobody there not even cars it’s just an empty bridge is so beautiful and I’m happy I experienced it!!!

Next time you’re walking through an old city think about all the things around you and what they might mean. sometimes you be surprise if you search  up the building you walk across you might find out it is 100 years old and use to be a speak see or the place where you get your coffee might be a old gangster house. Sadly that doesn’t really happen much in Canada because Canada such a  young country. That’s one of the reasons I travel to experience the age of the world just to see how small I am.

I love it and I hope you guys enjoy this quickly Little post about pointe 9 oldest bridges in Paris.
